I am sitting here in my lovely hotel room, by myself for the time being. My roommate, Lynn, went to get something to eat with a group of "friends" from our "Circle Of Friends". We are in Wooster for our 5th annual Conference for Circle Of Friends. Click here

Virelle Kidder is our main speaker, Click here (Scroll down to the picture of Virelle and I) and Jocelyn Hamsher is sharing from the companion Bible study she and Virelle wrote to go along with Virelle's book Meet Me At The Well , and of course the lovely Lisa Troyer is here to perform many songs from the CD she recorded to go along with the book and the Bible Study. See the above link for information about the Circle Of Friends.

Saturday morning: I am sitting here at the Fisher Auditorium in Wooster, Ohio listening to Lisa Troyer, and the COF worship team sing many of the songs that are on the Meet Me At The Well CD that Lisa recorded to go along with the book that Virelle wrote. There is also a companion Bible Study written by Jocelyn Hamsher to accompany the CD and book. Check it out!

An awesome opportunity

Hello friends!

It has been a bit too long since I have taken the time to blog. Obviously I have been busy. God has provided another opportunity to share our story. This time over the airwaves. Tomorrow, Thursday and the following day, if you tune into The Light 95.9 WNPQ, or in Columbus, at 91.5 WHKC rdio you will be able to listen to the Circle of Friends radio program and hear Kathy Cutshall and myself as we share the tragic stories of the deaths of our daughters.

Although Kathy and I just met as we gathered to do this program, we shared the the common factor of both of our daughters having been murdered. For those of you that do not know, our daughter, Liz, and her friend were abducted at a local video store back in May of 2000. Through many difficult moments and tragic circumstances, Liz died that night. Through a MIRACLE of GOD, her friend lived, and was able to lead authorities to the place where our Liz was found. As well as identifying the man that killed Liz, and nearly killed her friend. I am not going to tell the entire story here, but I will encourage you to tune into the program over the next two days.

Yes, it was truly a time of tears, and yet the presence of God was with us as we shared with each other and other friends in preparation for these programs. I hope that you will take advantage of the opportunity to listen. If you are reading this before the programs are broadcast, I ask you that you will be praying for everyone listening to this program, and pray for Kathy and I and our families as well.

Kathy and her husband, Chris, lost their daughter Lindsay, to a murder in 2004. Both Lindsay and her fiance, Jason were murdered in their sleep on a deserted beach in California. The perpetrator of that murder has not been found. Although it has been speculated that a man that was a major suspect in that case died in a shoot out, it still has not been proven who actually committed the double murder.

So, as you can imagine, this program will pretty emotional. The encouraging news is how God has been able to use these tragic stories to bring something beautiful and glorifying to Him.

Blessings to you all!

White

S-N-O-W ! Hate the stuff!!! I am sick of the stuff!! How about you? We currently have about 18-20 inches on the ground and between today and tomorrow will be adding between 5-10 inches more depending on which channel you watch.UGH!

The only things that I can think of that can brighten my day and lighten the mood is what I will be doing over the next couple of weeks!

Beginning on Thursday of this week I will be speaking for the first time in 2010. Not what you think. I know! What I mean is that I will be the guest speaker at a Business Women's luncheon! We will be gathering at J.I.M.S place on West High Ave. in New Philadelphia at noon. I will be sharing on Emotions and grief. If you are interested in attending let me know.

Next, on Friday and Saturday I will be helping "Queen Jean" do the cooking for the Married Life Live event at NewPointe Community Church. It is a wonderful event for couples. And of course the food is marvelous!

Third, I will be attending and working at the Circle of Friends event. Meet Me At The Well is the title to the annual COF Women's conference. Virelle Kidder author of the book Meet Me At The Well. What a wonderful woman she is. I was able to meet Virelle last May when I attended the Colorado Christian Writers Conference. Here is a picture of Virelle and I last May.

Today I am officially the oldest I have EVER been! A half century old....ugh

To celebrate, I have already eaten a lovely piece of triple chocolate cake that I was NOT going to touch today...since my diet was going to begin. :-)

Since I am old, I will be having a special give-away. I am almost to the 15,000 hit mark on my blog. When I hit that mark, I will be giving away a special award to the first person to comment that day. So, keep watching and reading and of course commenting! You could be the winner!

In keeping with the "theme" of old, I will be making available a framed antique quilt square. Picture on the right, I completed it!

The colors in the quilt are navy blue, off white and tan.
